About Radanor

Radanor builds dependable technology for complex environments.

Radanor is a technology company. We build software for organizations that operate complex systems, where visibility, understanding and reliability decide whether a decision holds up under scrutiny.

About Radanor

Radanor is a technology company. Our focus is software for environments that are difficult to see clearly: many assets, many teams, overlapping obligations, and consequences for getting it wrong.

We do not describe Radanor as a specialist in a single technology sector. The company is organised around a way of building — establishing facts, modelling the system honestly, and verifying that changes hold — and applies that approach to the products it releases.

What we build

Dependable technology for complex systems

Radanor builds technology intended to improve visibility, understanding, reliability and decision-making in complex operational environments.

Our first product, DURG, applies that intention to cybersecurity: it builds an evidence-backed model of an organization’s security state and uses observation, context, governance, remediation and verification to keep improving it.

As Radanor grows, products will be added in the areas where we believe that approach is most useful. We will describe them when they exist.

Our approach

Engineering discipline, evidence and verification

We prefer the unglamorous version of engineering: state the problem precisely, model it honestly, build conservatively, and check the result.

In practice that means writing software whose behaviour can be reasoned about, distinguishing clearly between what has been confirmed and what is unknown, and treating verification as part of the work rather than an afterthought.

  1. Evidence over assumptions

A statement about a system is only useful when it can be traced back to an observation. Where something has not been observed, we record it as unknown rather than assume it is fine.

  2. Clear system understanding

Complexity is not a reason for obscurity. We work to make the state of a system legible to the people who are accountable for it.

  3. Secure engineering

Security is a property of how software is designed, built and operated — not a feature that can be added at the end.

  4. Verification

A change is not complete because it was made. It is complete when the environment has been re-observed and the change is confirmed.

  5. Dependability

Software that supports complex operations has to behave predictably: conservative defaults, explicit failure states, and no silent ambiguity.

Our vision

A broad mandate, stated carefully

Radanor intends to grow as a technology company across more than one area of technology. We are not going to describe that future in detail before it exists.

What we can state is the standard we intend to hold: whatever Radanor builds should leave a complex environment more understandable, and more dependable, than it was before.
